Nothing aggravates me more than someone rushing me to buy a game from a series I haven't even played. What do I mean by this? It's pretty simple: a friend asks you to play Assassin's Creed: Revelations and you haven't even played the first Assassin's Creed game.

Yes, my own brother was the person that wanted me to play AC:R. Sorry, but I won't play a currently released game if there are games in that series released before it. That's why I bought Assassin's Creed on my birthday.

Not every series is the same case for me. I played every single game in the Driver and Grand Theft Auto series before I played Driver: San Francisco and GTA4. I've played every Madden game to date with the exception of Madden '12. I've played everything 2K related from 2K Sports except for 2012.

You can't expect everyone to get a new game right away and it's definitely not a good idea to suggest that someone plays a game if that person hasn't played the other games in that series.

So, if I want to play AC:R, I'm going to play the other games in the Assassin's Creed series. I might get to that point by the middle of 2012 - if I'm lucky.
