This year, like last year, a vote was held to see who would be this years cover guy. Panthers QB Cam Newton blew through his competition but met some resistance against 49ers LB Patrick Willis on his way to winning a spot in the finals against Lions WR Calvin Johnson. Johnson had routs all the way through semifinals where he easily dispatched Packers QB Aaron Rodgers with 67% of the votes.

Madden NFL 13 is scheduled for release on August 28th for the Xbox 360 and PS3.
