DC Universe Online launched in January and was Sony Online Entertainment's fastest-selling game. The game is now getting even more gamers since now that it's free-to-play.
A SOE executive revealed that user-base numbers were 1,000% higher than pre-free-to-play numbers. The company said these new players split evenly between the PS3 and PC versions of the game.
The increase in players came with a cost, though. The influx of users resulted in users reporting long waits to get into the game, and various other issues. The latest update from the team said that they are aware of the issues and they are working to fix them. Servers are being added to the DCUO infrastructure, and subscribers are being pushed to the front of log-in queues.
